Boosting ROI and achieving goals with MicroEssentials® SZ

With up to 60% of yield potential dependent on crop nutrition, fertilizer isn’t the budget line item to take the axe to. This could not only impact your yield potential this season, but for seasons to come.

Each granule of The Mosaic Company’s MicroEssentials® SZ packs in several key nutrients — nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and zinc (SZ formula) — crops need to reach their yield potential with the help of Fusion® Technology.

But MicroEssentials does more than just combine nutrients into a granule. Packed into each granule is…

  • Two forms of sulfur — sulfate and elemental — for unmatched, season-long availability.
  • 28% increase in phosphorus uptake compared to commodity phosphate sources.
  • Zinc with greater solubility compared to other dry zinc fertilizers.

By carefully crafting each granule with these key nutrients and more, MicroEssentials helps make the most of every dollar spent on fertilizer, safeguarding your bottom line and boosting your return on fertilizer investment (ROFI).

“Uniform nutrient distribution and increased nutrient uptake can make all the difference during the growing season and in the yield monitor at harvest. We’ve seen MicroEssentials improve yields in a number of crops across our region, helping bolster our growers’ return on fertilizer investment,” says Jennifer Kreway, Director, Agronomic Solutions at Richardson International.

Over 20 locations across the U.S. and Canada saw MicroEssentials perform when put to the test in trials. When compared to a MAP blend, canola fertilized with MicroEssentials saw an average yield increase of 2.4 bu/ac over three years.

Winter wheat treated saw an increase in sulfur, phosphorus and zinc concentration, as well as a yield increase when compared to a MAP blend. On average, 17 trials across the U.S. and Canada saw a yield increase of 4.2 bu/ac over three years.
